Exclamation BSNL Broadband with Type 1 ADSL2+ CPE / router without Login ID & Password!!!!

Sir, please provide me complete information.
I hv connected BSNL BB HomeCombo UL750 plan. They(BSNL Officers) hv provided me the (Type 1 ADSL2+ CPE / router ) modem, without any Login ID & Password. I always switch on the modem for internet. I found in the Local Area Connection Status in my computer (Double clicking on System Tray Icon) that : Address type is Assigned by DHCP, I hv an IP address and a Defauly Getway IP address. Please make me clear why they hv not given me any Login ID & password for internet connection. What is the difference between my type internet setup & Dial-up setup. Should I ask them(BSNL Officers) for Login ID & Password?? Whether my internet connection is secure or not ?

It is advisable to get the ID and password in case you need to reconfigure the modem later. PPPoE or Always ON mode is one of the best setups around. But you can still try Bridge mode if you want. In that case you may need your ID and password. Just make a call to your local exchange. They keep it in their records.

As you have Type 1 (non wifi) modem and PPPoE mode, your connection is secure. All queries end at your router.

You could have mentioned details of the modem model/make number.
    Assuming it is UT300R2U
type in address bar 192.168.1.1 userId admin PW admin

    Menu pages will open
    Select Advanced Options:
    WAN
    edit
    next
next In wan page your ID willbe seen
Usually XX(stdcode YY)(your telephone number ZZZZZZZZ)
    Default Password : password.
( DO NOT TRY to change Password NOW )

Also Go to Management and select
    BACKUP menu.
Save current settings of modem to say
    C:/My Documents/ modem working feb 6th.

    2.
Go through my signature links for more info.

    3.
Also you should get a 14digit ID and PW password to
    (ask EXchange Broadband section )
    usually example: abc12306022010 PW assword.
( three letters)(three numbers)( ddmmyyyy) connection given.
    or
    4.
After you get a consumer number ( if telephone is also new )
Register with your own choice of ID/PW at selfcare web sites.
    Your Location not known .

    Thank U ...
It is quite helpful for me.

    Sir,
    1) I could not able to register in the BSNL portal. I mean to say how to get the Broadband service username as eg. user@bsnl.in
to check my BB usage detail.

    2) As my plan is Home Combo UL 750, should I find out my BB usage.

USERID cannot be changed which you use for connecting to Internet.
2.You may check your usage data if you wish.

    3. Mention your location.

I am also on UL 750, using data.bsnl.in. You need to get your portal ID to access data.bsnl.in as password is generally password.

You can use a good bandwidth meter to keep an eye on your usage. Try one from Shaplus or Networx.

    Default internet slowdown

i had a Bsnl ul750+ home a year ago which had a download speed of 256kbps which was pretty good for browsing and for torrent download it was at the of 100-120kbps, i disconnected the net for three months and applied for a new line but this time they increased the speed from 256kbps to 512kbps which is good and that to for the same price, but the problem is browsing got worser, it would take more than 15 minutes to open a page sometime it wont open, and the downloading rate gone down to 50kbps, what might be the prob?

I use a Bsnl adsl s4u+v1.0 model modem does this have to do something with modem settings, RAM, TCP/IP settings
