I am getting more than 4Mbps though I am using a 2Mbps plan (500 COMBO PLUS) plan. The screen shot attached
Which plan do you use ? Great speed.
Quite lucky. Hope it lasts![]()
I am getting this speed from last 1 -2 month & I think we have a discussion about this matter somewhere in this forum earlier.
ya, me too think so. Thanks for the update.
actually what do we have to report? download speed or bandwidth?
bandwidth=8*dnld speed![]()
/@girishjakapure
bandwidth=8*dnld speed
See graph in post No 2.
The formula you have shown does not tally..
Para two:
Also please reply to your thread/post

It is easy to ask questions but to answer them, takes time and effort, and other members/users benefit, when access the same thread at a later date, and enhances the forum's utility.
Even a negative report is welcome from original thread starter.

I hope u know difference between Kbps and KBps(if not then refer THIS for conversion), and d dfrnce between bandwidth and download speed.(said this because BSNL offers 512KBPS connection and still u wrote 512kbps in ur graph.)
i can't predict anything from ur graph..
I have 2MBPS connection.
2MBPS=2*1024=2048 kBps=16384 Kbps
and so my download speed will be 256kBps = 2048 Kbps
which is, 2048/8 = 256kBps.
its the basic thumb rule of any broadband connection, Bandwidth=8*Download speed.
but still, BSNL is good enough not to cap at exact speed. my download speed touches 320KBPS aslo! so i get bandwidth of 2.5+MBPS which is equal to 20.48 Mbps and 20480 Kbps.
please get the difference between
1.bandwidth and download speed.
2.bytes and bits.
bro... i m not so noob... i had tried those things already... found this very good forum on broadband thats why posted question after trying many things... so i was not interested to reply further for basic things. wanted some expert advice which i didn't get. and i know how much efforts it takes, i too reply in many forums and active there.. but can't be same everywhere.. hope u understand. cant write any further. sorry.
nd yeah, use some better speed testing site/server.

Would like to know your download speed... And see how many gets the speed as u get....
well funny thing is that i subscribed for UL750....and as far as i know...512kbps..is about 60kb/ps...max i get 70[if luck permits..]...but for 2 months i was getting a speed of 240kb/ps....now back to normal....60-65...
I am Looking for those days to come, when everyone's download speed start with mbps... Hope to get it soon...
Here's my speed from speedtest.net....
I was using UL750 plan at that time...
Date is given there..... 6/4/2010
Top countries ranked by speed...
Source from speedtest.net
You might have seen it, if not it could be informative...
BSNL reduced broadband tarrif up to 75%... Nice to hear and make advantage of it...![]()
I feel that this speed is not uniform, and changes due to traffic variations and also the IP number assigned to you. an analysis of earlier tests where the same IP number is re allotted on another occasion, the results are near close but traffic rations also moderate the speed test.
Don't believe any hacks to increase Internet speed... All scam...
Earlier I was on home500combo now shifted to home900uldcombo as per the new plan the speed should be upto 4mbbs upto 8gb but the speed remains 2mbbs what to do?
Yesterday. On 18th March My internet reached Max speed of 4 mbps... I'll call it amazing... Just because it haven't crossed 3mbps in the past...![]()
