configuring GLB 502T is similar to DSL 502T .
You can use it in any of PPPoE mode or Bridge mode .
I hope that you can follow this guide : Link

    Dear Mr. triple 'm',

Back to the square again! Can't configure the modem to connect as PPPoE. Presently using a "Bridge" connection.

Can u tell me in details the advantages & disadvantages of each connections (PPPoE, Bridge, Static, PPPoA, etc) mentioned in the configuration page of GLB-502T Router?

Is there any added advantage of using one over the other????

When we are using Bridge mode connection , we are
actually losing many functionalities of the modem
    ( like virtual sever settings , NAT , inbuilt Firewall ... )

If it is a modem cum router then we are also losing
routing capability of the device thru bridge mode .

However , some prefer Bridge mode as it is a simple
one and we need not worry about ports forwarding .
And also it is convenient to control the net connection
thru the shortcut on desktop / icon in system tray .

Here is a link to GLB 502T 's manual if required : Link

Hey friends, I have a got a manual of how to configure D-Link GLB-502T ADSL 2+ Router fro BSNL broadband (using both Bridge mode and PPPoE mode). If someone is in need, he/she may contact me at the following email ID: smt0841@dataone.in to get the manual in pdf format. The manual is a sheer 889 KB file which exceeds the forum limitation of uploading. Hence, you have to contact me personally at the above mentioned email ID.

upload it to Drivers guide site or rapidshare and give its link .

    sou,
if u really want to upload it then its a simple thing of going to RapidShare: 1-Click Webhosting or www.drivergide.com as he has given. While in rapidshare you just have to hit upload & use any of the servers on the other one you'll have to sign up & probably then you can upload.

On second thought, don't have to do anything. All this stuff is readily available on D-Link India :: Building Networks for People . Only the link given by mmm was wrong. One has to go to Downloads > Choose Broadband in the drop-down list > ADSL2-CPE from the next drop-down list & finally choose the model from the 3 models given. You have the manual, QIG, datasheet Btw how do u have an 8 mb .pdf file when the site gives only a 3 mb manual, while the datasheet & QIG are 700 KB each.

    Dear shirish,
Perhaps you have mistaken. What I have quoted is "The manual is a sheer 889 KB file which exceeds the forum limitation of uploading". Nowhere did I mention that it's an 8 mb pdf file. However, I have mailed the manual to mmm and now he is the one who is responsible for uploading that things. I have faith on him. Nevertheless, if want it personally please feel free to mail me at smt0841@dataone.in

    Dear Shirish,
The things you mentioned (QIG, datasheet and manual) are already bundled with the CD that comes with the package. And let me conclude that those things are just ****!!!
Those things are filled up with technical details, which are quite obscure for people like me (of course, one can't expect that all the people in the country are going to understand all technical jargons). Inevitably you people, who has technical background - it's just a piece of cake. But for me people, how can one assume that one can get the values for VPI, VCI, IP address for 'ping'ing!?!
