I am new to wifi
i have wifi in my laptop(vaio) windows 7(64-bit)
&
in my modem too
how to use & explain all setting in 192.168.1.1 website

Please mention modem/WIFI model/number.

When you click the Wireless Icon in Taskbar do you see
any wifi networks ( secured unsecured )

Presume you are now connected to Internet in LAN mode.
A rj45 cable from modem to laptop ethernet port.

Modem - model and make needed. Check your modem, you will be able to find it on top.

1. Configure your modem in PPPoE.

2. Enable DHCP in your modem.

3. In the TCP/IP properties of your connection, set " Obtain IP address automatically ".

In the newtork-->tcp/ip properties on your PC. I think that's what you meant to say

Yep. Sorry, typo. Meant " connection ".
