Default Applied for a plan change and....

Today at 11.30am i applied for a Plan change for broadband from 500 to 1000 monthly, had a look at the selfcare portal at 3.15pm and this is what it pointed.

does it mean that my plan has being changed to unlimited from now on or should i confirm it with BSNL. or start using my broadband connection as unlimited from now on or should i wait for the next month

Note: i'm unable to assimilate the activeness (quick response) of BSNL within 3-4hrs after putting an order,

Another user also reported that his plan changed happened within 8 hours of application. Need to see the connection date. Check with SDE and confirm. Or use cautiously and check in portal when the usage appears. If the plan is really unlimited, it will show usage as zero.

I am not a fan of self care portals. Though feature rich, they lack the simplicity of data.bsnl.in . Better check with SDE.

check that your download limit is changed to unlimited

I have also changed my plan 2 times succesfully this month..and i confirm it by checking speed change or in exchange....

As a now bsnl is upgrading plans in it system so no usage displayed on portal so i can assure my plan change by checking with SDE.....

i'm doubtful about billing, i opted for a plan change on 24th, and got upgraded on the same day from my previous plan (limited 500) to (unlimited 1000); how will be the billing cycle, i have the following notion
    1) till 24th i have being under 500 plan that means BSNL will charge for my usage till 24th under 500 plan.
    2) from 25th it is unlimited so it will be billed accordingly.

Yes, it should be so. You can also check with the Accounts Officer to confirm our theory. As far as we have seen here, your usage for both plans will be like (24/30) *2.5 GB and similar for Home 1000 plan.
