Thread: Is 'BBG-FN-HOME-500-MONTHLY' plan discontinued?

When I visit BSNL's site they don't show the details of 'BBG-FN-HOME-500-MONTHLY' plan.

Is this plan discontinued?

If so then are they going to switch me to some other plan?

it says no new regs, wont affect old users, other than the fact that rates have been slashed

They are charging me even for night usage that's why I asked it.

Since in your usage self care portal NU is listed separately , BSNL will deduct that usage. for final bill.
Chargeable units does not say ( LESS NU).
This may be again deducted .

what i see is that they have just deducted 2560 from 9691 and posted the rest under chargeable
but i dont see any am/pm.is this 24 hour time?
i am not used to this portal

Yes it is a 24 hours clock and the image I uploaded contains all the details disclosed by bsnl.

if you had given the NU page for FEB instead of Jan 2011, confusion could have been avoided.

Hope You checked your Jan telephone bill and Usage data for Jan 2011 and tallied the bill.

I got my connection on 28 Jan. so I don't have any previous bill.

If your connection is NEW , you should have got a speed upto 2 Mbps , whatever the plan selected and download H24 is free for fifteen days . Say upto 11th Feb 2011.

confirm when you get the bill for Jan 2011.

The date you applied/effective date of connection etc are to be checked.

1. My date of application:
30 Dec. 2010

2. Date of getting connection:
28 Jan 2011

3. I checked my bill on selfcare.wdc.bsnl.co.in/ and it was normal.( they didn't
charge me for the internet connection).

4. And the screenshot provided by me has the data about night usage.

5. They are showing that my broadband plan's name is 'BBG-FN-HOME-500-
MONTHLY' , So I guess I'm clearly eligible for free download.

6. Let me know If you need anymore details. (BTW Today, when I checked 'selfcare.wdc.bsnl.co.in' , it was totally down. I guess they are currently working on the problem and I think I should wait for some more time instead of getting freaked out.

I registered online from abroad on 15th Nov 2010 ( LAST DATE for regn) and got the free download speed etc. connected on 2nd Dec 2010.
The scheme was revived sometime in Jan 2011, and let us hope, you too will also get the benefit.

the same problem is with me...
they have accounted night usage charges in the bill for jan..but only for 31
jan(dont know why for only 31 jan)



.and the feb night usage is shown in chargeable usage...

i think bsnl is gonna give us a big scare

i almost downloaded 30gigs in feb

i think bsnl is doing this deliberately..
their plan is to charge a huge bill for which ppl wont pay
and then disconnect the connection and then rectify the errror..

and on reconnection
pl cant select the home 500 plan which is discontinued..

have u check your jan bill on selfcare ...because in jan bill they billed night usage for 31 of jan only and...900 extra is added to my bill..
is this also with your bill?????

got a regular amount bill for jan..

did u get a seperate bill for the extra usage or was in in the same jan bill

and was is specifically specified as 31st jan usage in the bill?

I have the same problem, i was also on 500 combo in jan month and they did charge me for 31 jan night usage....so extra 600 rupees for it...
I am gonna file complaint against it and ask for refund...

I think why they have only charge for 31st jan...not the other days ..
now my feb unbill amount is shown around RS10,000..!!!

was in same bill ...when i have check my bill analysis ,there it was charged only for 31st jan....

When I go to seflcare.wdc..bsnl.co.in and click on bill analysis, it says that my bill isn't issued yet.

check after 2-3 days ...the bill will be issued

selfcare.wdc portal is working today.
January bill has been issued for a U/L user. (checked with test ID)

Display of usage for the month of February now, may not be correct since BSNL is reconfiguring Broadband Plans in the IT systems. The correct usage shall be dispayed after 10th Feb.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

Check in portal for your January Bill details again.
