    Exclamation Nokia Siemens C2110

I need the old firmware for Nokia Siemens C2110. I currently have V55.1.04.10, but there are some problems in this version, and due to those problems i cant forward my ports(i did it all according to procedure, and i did it all correctly). A friend suggested that V55.1.04.02 or V55.1.03.06, whichever's more stable/suiting the situation. Any other suggestions are also welcome.

    UpNp?
I am using PPP/PPPoE mode with password stored in the modem.
I already have V55.1.04.10 installed, and apparently you cant forward your ports with this version of the firmware installed and the other two links aren't working. Is there any other way out of this mess.

btw does IndiaBroadband have an irc channel?

UpnP isnt available, neither in the basic menu nor in the advanced menu(both are same in this version of the firmware, the picture that you have is of v 4.02 not 4.10)
Im reading that post now but that might not be of much help. Is there any place where i can get the old firmware other than those links(ive contacted the uploader, probably he'll re-upload, but till then, i have nowhere to go)
2)Like the author of that post suggested, i checked out the Portchecker, and ive checked about 60 random ports, none of them was open, so im guessing that the only way out is installing the older versions of the firmware.

IRC: Ill post that suggestion there.

Did you try the Calcutta telephones link ? FW upgrade ?
I had given links to whatever FW version you wanted.
Now you say I want "Old' Fw version. be specific and mention the
FW version, which you think will solve your PF problem.

    REF: Check the FW version.

yes i checked that link, no use.
I mentioned in the original post that i need V55.1.04.02 or V55.1.03.06. The links posted by @Indranil for those versions have expired.

PF: That is V55.1.04.02 and not v .10
Funny thing is v 4.02 has its bugs too but portforwarding is possible in that version.

I hope @Indranil re-uploads, 'cos thats the only way out as far i can see.

EDIT: Im trying that calcutta link again, it might help in another way. Thanks

I dled the FW from the calcutta link and installed it, something went wrong and my Modem broke. I had to buy a new modem. So anyone who is planning on downloading and installing the firmware from the calcutta link, try not downloading that.

Funny thing is i have switched to Syrma S4U and it has the same port forwarding problem. I hate BSNL now.

    1. sorry to hear c2110 has become "dud"
presume after resetting you could not access menu pages.
    2.
check up my signature link teracom.
The menu pages will be same as c 2110 + wifi pages !
    3.
If you post as) annexure the screen shot of PF settings made by you, perhaps @meetdilip can help ( he has similar unit Ar800V3 )

For use in forum ( ignore if familiar )

1)Thats cool, the modem was 1.5 years old, so i was going to change it anyways, and its probably not even the firmware's fault.
And yes, i couldnt access the menu, and all the lights were blinking like crazy.
2)Should i just download the firmware for the teracom modem?
3)Post screens where? And of what?
I kinda read that post, the problems a bit differnet, and im sure that the problem is with the firmware, which for this model is 10.4.3.12.12_SI

Im attaching the thumbnail here. (i blacked out the last two digits of the port number for the lulz )

    Forget Firmware for the present.
    Check your Utorrent settings.
    http://www.utorrent.com/testport?port=6881

Go to portforward.com and select Siemens c 2110 utorrent.

    2. Home work ! ( No target date !!!)
Reset C2110 with power on for about 15 minutes . then try.

Have you ever used private trackers, usage of UPnP port mapping can get you banned on private trackers, and thats not an option. And i have done exactly as portforward.com suggests for Nokia c2110, although im now using that modem anymore, it broke, im using syrma S4U but the settings are basically same for both these modems(and in both cases they don't work, how awesome is that)

    PF:
1)Yes my static ip stuff is correct.
2)yes the portforwarding procedure is correct and the incoming/outgoing are supposed to be same.
3)Utorrent settings have been optimized for usage on private trackers and any changes in these settings can in many ways get me banned.

Again only way out is firmware, im thinking of contacting the people at BSNL for the firmware. That is in many ways my last hope.

Im not using the c2110 anymore, and i tried the whole reset thing in the morning, it didnt work, the modem just wouldnt work, it wasnt even detecting my usb cord, and with the ethernet cable inserted the lights blinked like crazy.

@meetdilip yeah the problem with the c2110 has been solved(in a way yes, permanently) i have a syrma S4U now, and i am facing the same problem as i did with the c2110. The firmware is probably flawed(S4U's firmware looks exactly like C2110's), because i have done the portforwarding stuff correctly.
I think that just like in c2110's firmware, S4U might have the same problem.
Reference:@indrail's post titled cpe c2110 i cant post the link because i havent got 15 posts yet, so you'll just have to search

If you have purchased the modem/router
exchange possible within 6 months or one year .
If on rent any time ! ask for another type II model
    usually ITI SMC DNA A212 -I ( same as wa3002-g4 etc )

Most Bsnl modems/routers are now based on two hardware boards. Different companies in India get the contract and supply with their brand name (but mostly identical board/menu items )
    AR800 v3/ syrmaS4U/ etc belong to Siemens C2110 group.

Mentioned dna a212_IWIFI model ) from bsnl.
Type 1 Ut300r2u( BSNL new ) also does not have PF option.
Better to buy an adsl modem from outside market or from ebay.in
    or
PM your dynamic Ip to @meetdilip when both or ONLINE
so that he can access the modem and verify the settings.
He can also check your utorrents settings with Teamviewer.
