    Default A very serious issue

    First of all I am very sorry for increasing threads but this is making me go grazy
    Today morning..maybe at 6am I registered in Selfcare portal and now I got a mail from them

    I got userID and pass to login there...
    I logged in and it showed Welcome SHRI VINAY SINGH
    I am not that Vinay
    Neither that phone number mentioned is mine..
    what should I do?

    I just logged out for now!!
    Hope nothing wrong happens!!
    No girls in this forum? LOL

    Try talking to someone at exchange. SDE will be fine.

    Why do all these problem happen to me?
    Anyway will there be any problem if i keep quite about it?
    I am not hacking or doing something offensive!!

    You may later need your ID and password when you apply for a plan change or check usage details. So it is important to get your own ID and password even if you keep silent about this issue. But it will be manners to report it as the person whose ID is given to you may be waiting for that from BSNL.

    I actually know my portal ID and pass for data.bsnl.in . i check my usage there..
    In this forum i saw screenshots of selfcare website and wanted to register there
    I entered my ID and pass there and it told I have to register... SO i registered....
    I tried to enter customer ID from my telephone bill... it was 13 digit number but the site had only 10 digits to enter... i tried entering first 10 digits and it said it was wrong... so i posted thread again!!     So i entered last 10 digits and registered.. a page loaded saying some call agent will call me and verify,,,, I got no call today....
    and now i got mail which had a password...
    I logged in and it showed Vinay's name!!

    What i am wondering is that they must have called Vinay's number , and if they verified , how come i got the email?

    Any computer application needs the proper input correctly, and when you entered a 10 digit number and filled up other columns correctly,and selected a secret question, and answer and gave an email ID, automatically a Password has been generated and sent to your email address. presume at @ bsnl.in !!!
    Now you log in with your chosen Id and PW and select the menu items.,
    If you succeed in gettting the telephone bill particulars of Shri Vinay Singh and if broadband menu is available check there also.

    ( Now if this user tries to register at selfcare site , he may be told that he is registered already !)

    You can inform Your Local Exchange ,
    and say you entered wrong consumer number and that the account can be deleted.
    or forward full details with screen shots to me , to delete the account you created. ( Private Message )
    or just ID& PW ( and consumer number used 10 digits only ) as a Private message to me. I will take up with BSNL to delete this account. ( after log in and I get full details )

    Your PM
    web site says ( selfcare.wdc) Id PW incorrect.
    You have used capital letters for ID and
    O or o or 0 in passsword .
    tried all combinations !
    use the the unlock option.

    wait ...... rechecking
    OK. ID only accepted PW not accepted.
    Unlock account yourself.

    I can log in with both SASA_7610 and sasa_7610
    and PW has numeric

    If you cannot acccess the site or
    get error message it is deleted..

    Presume you used xxxxx41936 . confirm.

    OK. funny how you got registered atselfcare portal wdc with that number. here.
    There is same number confusion.
    Yours in Kalyani kolata(?) WB 1000041936XX yours 12 digit
    Shri Vinaysingh. Bhopal MP......1000041936 ( 10 digits confirmed)
    Any way you can delete yours here.
    How you selected wdc when you are in Eastern region and web site is edc.


    Para two:
    My worry is, Shri Vinay Singh, ( who is in western Zone Bhopal)
    may not be able to access his account.
    In case he has already registered earlier no problem.

    The matter is not serious, and I have his userId/email Id @bsnl also.phone number /acct number etc He uses BB 625U/L combo and no problem now.

    You can relax !!!!!

    still waiting to get my plan changed

    hey another question.... my landline phone is out of order for some days...
    do they need to call me and then change my plan?
    i already submittted written application
    why will they call again?

    Phone out of order may not affect Broadband connection and visa versa. Both O/O/O may mean line break or exchange problem.

    Go to BSNL Portal and check MY orders.
    Provisioned effective date ( last column will show 1st March 2011) etc. till 28th feb daily.
    Nobody will make a phonecall to you from BSNL.
    If you make a trip to Exchange, staff at Broadband Section
    will confirm.

    I asked him to change the password.
    he may reply.

    I have deleted it.
