Thread: Nokia Siemans SL-2_141 from BSNL

I have a Nokia Siemans SL-2_141 modem from BSNL. How can use it with MTNL.

CHANGE vpi/vci To 0 and 32. or select in WAN page
ID/PW of Mtnl. also DNS or google 8.8.8.8 and opendns 208.67.220.220

some have screen shots with clear instructions.

If you are on "Dialer Mode" (enter userID/PW in Computer window )
and you may get connected !!! ( Link 0_32 will be on ""bridged" mode.

I saw the screen shots. I followed the steps. Screen shots did not match. However I could change the vpu and vci to 0 and 32 and it was saved it gave the message as rebooting. However still could not connect.

Thanks. I could get it through with my laptop. However, it is not working with desktop. It is showing the light for internet. however, on desktop it is not even showing the router. It is also getting connected on wireless. Kindly help.

1. Configure your modem in PPPoE mode.

2. Enable DHCP in your modem.

3. In both PC and laptop, in TCP/IP properties of the connection, set " Obtain IP address automatically ".

If the above doesn't work, post your ipconfig/all data.

I did it still wireless did not work.

Restart your PC and modem, then check. Post the ipconfig/all data for both PC and laptop. Are you sure that your are in PPPoE ?

I did restart the the laptop. I have Nokia Seimans router which I could configure to work with MTNL with help from you all. However, wireless still does not work. When I click is asking the key which I had fed but it does not connect, Full signal strength is being shown. I am using Windows 7.

How do you connect in desktop ? Do you use a dialer and click " connect " on it ? Or simply by switching ON the modem ?

Nokia Seimans routersl2_141 LAN mode working in laptop.
