Default Bsnl modem questions & WiMAX Questions

My Teracom Type II modem doesnt have UPnP according to my Ps3, is this needed? i dont understand that.

and secondly how good is WiMax, i have considered to get that in place of dsl connection. Is it really reliable?

Better keep wired connection as your basic connection. Wireless connection are good in many cases still suffer with a lot of problem literally making in difficult to use it as the only connection. Some connections give shared IP causing download from sites like Rapidshare and similar difficult.

I have heard that wimax down speed may be good but the up speed is too bad...

And as Dilip said it has some problem..

Wimax connections are only for rural areas.. To those whose area is not feasible for cable broadband, wimax will be given there... and also wimax is not broadly installed to all the areas. they are in the process of developing it now...
