guys how is bsnl broadband in pune?? i am using airtel broadband but it has some fair usage policy so internet speed reduces to 256kbps from 512kbps after usin 10gb... i dont find a reason to pay 1000rs per month for just 256kbps.. so want to change the net connection..

or plz recommend me some better connection in pune..

I am using UL 750 which gives 512 Kbps unlimited without any FUP. Our moderator Just4kix is from Pune and he is a satisfied customer as far as I know.

I can suggest you a better plan is you can give the following details

1. Budget

2. How much bandwidth do you need per month.

3. What is your speed requirement.

4. Do you use land line for making calls. If yes, how much calls do you make per month.

i find bsnl cheaper than other ISPs so want to go with that.. plannin to discontinue airtel as i mentioned ... but people say that bsnl has a very bad customer service .. so m confused wat to do..

BB Home Combo UL 750 is the best plan for you. It has Rs. 750 per month rent and zero rental for your phone. No free calls though. If you intend to use the land line occasionally, call will be charged according to " one India plan ".

I can tell you, BSNL is not known for excellence in providing a gaming set up. Even I tried Counter Strike to find out that my ping is so high that I am the one who get killed first.

Does the ping time remain constant when tariff plan speed is 256 Kbps 512 Kbps/1 Mbps 2 Mbps /.???

I think yes. I have tried playing while in both 256 and 512 Kbps connections. I think it mainly depends on the routing at the server end. Not sure about higher speeds, but I have heard my friends share bad opinion.

The Udaan site, when we select " plan change " as lead type, there is no way to input the plan. Can you please check and update.

BEWARE. Bsnl disconnects a hell lot.. you may not want this to happen if u want to play online.
Thats why i got another ISP for office work.. and use BSNL only for night downloads.. nothing beats BSNL for night free usage for just 300 rs per month. (considering you already use BSNL landline). and i manage to transfer around 90 gb per month using BSNL.

i downloaded 100gb in a month wid Airtel... i had no probs since last 7 months but now they started fair usage limit that is just 10gb... m bloody helpless wid 256kbps speed and payin 1000rs ... so i have to choose between gaming/downloads ?????
