Thread: how to configure utstarcom type II

HI all
Could somebody provide the details of the changes to the default factory settings for bsnl broadband (bangalore). The modem I am using is utstarcom type II WA3002-g1.
I tried some changing settings from posts for other modems, but the link state is always down.
The log shows error=-3001, and also wrong domain name.

Note : I do not have complete solution at present ...

I'd suggest to configure the modem in Bridge mode first
and use a SW dialer ( windows XP has in-built dialer )
to connect to the net untill we find the procedure to use
the modem in PPPoE mode . I assume that you do not
need to connect a Laptop at present .
