Post Not able to access my webpage on wamp server from internet

i installed wamp server a few months back to practice php
now i just wanted to check if i could i access the page from the internet like this which is perfect because i saw on a site this is a basic

unfortunately that doesn't get me to the page
obviously, typing in my lan ip instead of my wan ip gets the job done
but typing in 117.etc.etc.etc:80 (port) doesn't
i searched in many places and asked for help on irc servers but all in vain
the problem as one of the guys on Demonoid irc told me, was that the port on which the wamp server would get client access requests has to be forwarded.
and for that i have to forward a port on my router configuration page.

my router as you can see in my profile is nokia siemens networks residential router 1600 and on the config page, under NAT, i get nothing but DMZ

even through telnet i went down to Virtual Server-> add-> added wamp as name
    added ports:
    External start: 80
    end:9219
Internal start:9229 and same end port

server ip address: i gave internal lan ip: 192.168.1.2
    and protocol tcp
    then saved and came back
    still nothing

    so whats the problem!
my friend just did that on his stupid c2110 modem he has bsnl also
and i accessed his pages on at ip:9219/page.html

i just want to do it its a very basic thing but this port forwarding thing is maddening me

    Please help

    Are you on "Dialer" Mode?
Change over to PPP/PPPoE mode and enter userId and PW in wan page of modem/router.
Try 192.168.1.1/main.html for all menu items under Advanced options/Nat.
    Check DDNS menu item.
Your modem is similar to WA3002_g4. See link below.

if you are not using any router between the modem and computer , then do this:

    1) find out your computers private ip i.e type ipconfig in cmd see ip address.
    2) go to your router (that will probbly be 192.168.1.1)-> advanced setup -> Nat-> DMZ Host . here type the ipaddress of your computer.

    3) go to whats myip.com and find your public ip (it will be like 117.198....)
    4) Now change firewall settings.
5)now go to a computer which is in an other network, other wise you will be directed to your modem page.

    6) now try.

    let me know what happened.
