Thread: What is the speed of BB Home UL 750 in Bangalore?

Hi,

I am using BB Home UL 750 plan from past 2 years . But when i saw my friends has got the same new conn in Diff areas (HAL & KORAMANGALA) they are getting download speed of 150kbps/sec ! which is almost twice as i am getting now (60kbps/s) so can any from Bangalore tell me why this diff b/w new user and Existing user? any idea?

Are you confused between Kbps and KBps ?

1 KB = 8 Kb

B = Byte, b = bit, Therefore for UL 750, 512 Kbps = 512/8 = 64 KBps.

Download managers normally show their speed in KBps. Me too on UL 750. Getting 60- 70 KBps on good servers. Somewhere around 55 KBps on torrents. If you are getting 60 KBps, you are getting good speed and cannot expect more.

Me too on same Plan, Speed not going above 65-70KBps.
How did u check ur friends speed?

Oh Thanks ! But i am not able to understand why others(new connections) are getting better download speed ? i my self checked at my friend place to download 20MB it took only 2Min ! using IDM i was really shocked to see that speed that to daily he is able to download 4GB in 6hrs (Night & Day) which is really confusing me so asked this query so that i can know if any one getting more speed than us !

Nope i when i checked it was almost month end. one more user who got connection 4 months back also getting the same download speed
