Thread: How to Increse utorrent speed

I have BSNL Broad Band Connection 500c plan. Speed is up to 256 kpbs ( but never I got this speed ). Moem is HUAWEI Smart AX MT 880.

I gets utorrent speed 0.3 kpbs.

Now what to do ????

1. Post your SNR and Attenuation values.

2. Download any file from Microsoft and report the speed here.

3. Go to speedtest.net, perform a speed test and post the screen shot/share link.

4. For torrents, try port forwarding. Post a screen shot of your torrent client.

Are you confused about KBps and Kbps ?

1 KB = 1 Kilo Byte, 1 Kb = 1 Kilo bit

256 KBps = 2 Mbps

what is SNR and attenuation values.

go to router page 192.168.1.1 and enter admin>password admin and under ADSL tab u'll find those.

Ok so like the 1st thing you want to check is how well the file you are downloading is seeded.

If a file has low availability your speeds will be awful.

If you have a firewall or AV setup with a excessively cautious blocking, you might see awful speeds.

I would say before checking SNR/Atten (which just measure line quality from your PC to the BSNL exchange) do the following easy steps:

1. Pick up the phone and check for any noise.
2. Look at the line to your bsnl node outside your house and check for breaks
3. See if webpages are taking too long to load or sometimes do not load
4. Finally run a few pings to a few servers like Google and so forth and check for time outs. [start->run->cmd->ping Google etc]

If you do see problems with the above then you can probably go ahead and check snr/atten.

1-check the download cap,see image below.



2-Have you pulled on a uploading cap??(this makes the tracking priority low)



3-Are you having hash fails?? (less is better zero is best)



4-Try a torrent with high seed or try something else.
(If the torrent is a 'just upped' then share ratio will be low even with high speeds)

After saving the picture as a jpg/png/bmp picture, you have to use application like Paint/Irfanview etc. to crop/edit/change colors etc of the picture.

go to the preferences
in preference,go to the connection-fill random port-40233.
now click on bandwidth-max.upload rate-1
global maximum number of connections-200
maximum number of connected peers per torrent-50
number of upload slot per torrent-0
now come to bittorrent-protocol encryption
outgoing-make it enable.
maximum numbers of active torrent-5
maximum numbers of downloading torrents-1
try this out once.i hope it will be useful to all of you.

And the first and foremost rule of p2p technology will be violated

Give & take
Most seeds will be inactive to pnjani...
Only unchoked seeds will be available...
In these seeds some will be hashfailed seeds...
And some will be members of MPAA...(because they want you to download from them)
Even if this doesn't happen the trackers and DHT table will have njani's IP among the leechers list and in a few months most public tracker will closed connection giving errors...



And if she has a standard bb connection she won't get no speed in the first place...


The more normal the better....

DO AS I SAY....


1. Go to control panel and uninstall u torrent (Slect remove settings)
2. Go to start menu> run>paste this> %Appdata%/utorrent > Hit enter
3. Clean the folder
4. Go to this site http://www.utorrent.com/
5. Install and log off
6 .Open utorrent under preferences > Setup guide
7. Select France, Paris> Run tests
8. If you get both green ticks then everything id OK.
9. If test fails Please report it here A.S.A.P.

SNR and attenuation are good. Nothing wrong in those values. Please give the details requested in other thread.
