Thread: utorrent

In utorrent the STOP button in top menu bar is become black, earlier it was red. WHEN ANy DOWNLOAD IS SELECTED the stop button is activated. I am talking about this stop button.

This stop button activated as red earlier but when i updated torrent once and this stop button gets activated as black and not red.

How it happens i do not know and i tried to make it red but no sucess received.

I am using utorrent 3.0 Alpha (Build 25043).

Please suggest to turn the stop button red.

Use a stable version. Try utorrent 2.2. You won't loose your unfinished download, after installation, double click the torrent file and give the same location as that of unfinished download. It will resume from where you stopped.

I tried and downloaded utorrent 2.2 and run the exe file but my torrent remains alpha 3.0

Please suggest what to do.

Try uninstalling using Revo Uninstaller. It should work.

Weather it will remain if i download utorrent 2.2

And from where to get utorrent 2.2

1-go to filehippo.com and search for utorrent(u will get the latest version)

2-to continue ur downloads just reopen the unfinished torrent file
while the downloading file at the default location
so it'll resume.

3-The stopped downloads will be there as it was.Not to worry.

Speed is the problem.

To do:

1. Use Revo Uninstaller and remove the current version of utorrent.

2. Install utorrent from the link given above.

This issue is fixed ? Post a screen shot of the utorrent. Don't save as BMP, use jpg/jpeg.

Yes, if other settings are ok, like port is forwarded, the torrent has enough no. of seeds etc, you will get the maximum speed.

Please give these info.

1. Your current BSNL plan.

2. Download any file from Microsoft and post the speed.

I agree. Seed to peer ratio is not good.

The green ones are seeds the more the better...

Good. But these speed tests are not reliable. So download any file from Microsoft and report the screen shot of the downloading Window. Make sure that you turn off utorrent and other downloads while try to download from Microsoft.


Which download manager do you use ? If nothing in use, use Internet Download Manager or Free download manager.

Need to know your BSNL plan, try downloading the torrent link I gave.

How to download from microsoft that i do not know, please teach me.

your said file is 692 mb long which i will do it in my free hours. However the same is started downloading in 2.2.1 torrent and posted it screen shot as a part of your home work.

I had a bad experience of download manager so i do not use any. but from where to download internet download manager ? if you suggest i will use it. May be i was not knowing how to use DM and that may be the reason of my bad experience.

1. To download from Microsoft, try this link and report the speed. Make sure there are no other downloading are doing at the moment.

No need to download completely, just take this screen shot and post here. No need to add text or arrows.



2. To know your plan, simply call to your local exchange and ask. Alternatively, you can go to data.bsnl.in, log in using your 14 digit Portal ID and password. And post the " Postpaid orders " page after blackening personal details. If you do not have Portal ID and password, get it from exchange. They keep it in their records, just 2 minute business to get it.

3. I am using Internet Download Manager. But it is not free software. Check with your friends if you can get a copy. Or try free download manager (FDM) from this link.

Disable the torrent download section in it, no match for utorrent.
