Default Head UP with GLB 502T Dlink Plz Reason for Disconnection

    Dear Sir,

As I own GLB 502T 2+ Router for my dataone broadband connection, i have configured it and using unsuccessfully, bcos, frequent disconnections, ok i have taken it to service centre and replaced it for three times, but my prblem was not solved, actually plz tellme what is the reason to disconnect from adsl link by these modems, is there any other settings that i need to perfrom in the modem so that there wont be any problem

I have added the modem through the settings and given VPI:0 and VCI:35 only these setting i have done so plz give me any satisfactory reason for disconnection so that i would be gratified and knowing about the problem of disconnections, if possible any solutions

    Thanks

At present I feel that there can be two reasons for your problem ...

    a) D-Link GLB 502T might need a patch . Pls ask your D-Link
service center to fix it .

    b) Your telephone line might has a earthing problem or you
need a port change at the Exchange . Give a written written
complaint to concerned officer at your exchange and specially
request to check your wiring .

    Dear Mr. jvrSrikanth,

You may contact me at the following email smt0841@dataone.in to get the complete guide on how to set up GLB-502T ADSL 2+ Router ( I have made it myself). As I myself using it, and by God's grace it's just flying....
Of course if u have any line attenuation problem(s), you should fix it first by contacting the broadband team.

Default I am not continuing with DLINK 502T

I am not continuing with DLINK GLB502T.This product is total wastage of money and time.It gets disconnected whenever there is minor voltage fluctuation.Usin of UPS does not also help.Took all help form support, replaced the router three times, adapter once.Still problem continues. So thanks Dlink.Thats it.I am not using it anymore.

    No problem.
PRESUME : you are referring to GLB502T.

    Just curious:
How you selected this thread which is two years old ?
From "SEARCH" in this forum or via Google/Yahoo search?

If the Change over ( transient time ) of your UPS
is less than 24 Milli seconds
any modem may not loose connectivity.

Only way to avoid disconnection of the modem:
Connect. power input to the Modem
with proper circuits to the 12 Volts battery.
    ( some modems : exception possible )

    Para two:
Downloaded an useful guide for GLB502T from this thread. Thanks.

Yes I am referring to GLB502T.I got this thread from Search within this site.
By the Way I have purchased Iball Baton IB-LR6111A.This router is working fine without disconnection with my Frontech JIL 2513 UPS (which I purchased only to avoid the disconnection problem with GLB502T).But the GLB502T requires something special.Like you mentioned purchasing a battery ,then making a circuit for it.Who will do it. I also had Nokia Siemens Networks C2110 modem provided by the BSNL.It did not get disconnected with voltage fluctuation. So no way I will use any router from Dlink.
