Connect a DVI-to-HDMI cable to your television input, making sure you are inserting the HDMI end. Hook up the other end of the cable to your computer's DVI jack.

BSNL UT-300 R2U (2-3 yrs old) cost about Rs 1000/=
TV model is Panasonic TH-P50V20D it has a lan port

Laptop or Desktop: Rs 30,000 to Rs40,000/=
I need a user name and pass to connect to internet using my bsnl modem,
Not understood. Once you connect to Internet using Ut300r2u
to use any other desktop/laptop connected via switch/wifi router etc one required. ( For wifi : security key if used )

    1.
Both laptop and DVD recorder ( with WIFI) can be connected to enabled TV. Not familiar with the set up. have seen in use in U.S
    2.
Need to connect desktop or laptop in wifi mode
additional wifi router needed ( example Netgear wgr614V9 )
    3.
Lan ports in wifi router MAY be connected to TV.

    Para two:
I am not sure/familiar about this . set up.
    Please await other members suggestions.
Please refer the Panasonic manual/user guide..
Give details of the laptop in use ( HDMI out put ?)

Ok i got myself WA3002G4 which is wireless and router with 4 lan ports,
I am not able to to access internet after getting it in pppoe mode...
I am getting the IP address on the modem page, but somehow the PC is not using the internet connection (or something like that), I calles the BSNL people and again did all the settings they told me. It failed, and they told me to use the bridge mode, and said we dont know about this modem and hence we will see what can be done (ignored me)..
    have i forgotten anything?

Make sure that you have configured properly in PPPoE.

Can you log in to the modem using 192.168.1.1 ?
