3. As suggested above, check whether there is a MAC filter in place. If yes, either add the MAC ID of your other devices or simply disable MAC filter.
4. Try to connect more than one machine using the 4 Ethernet ports. ie, instead of one port in modem, also use Port no. 2,3 or 4 and connect your laptop using ethernet cable and check.
