Question Annual Payment of BB Tarif...

    Hello All...
As you know BSNL gives 2 month fare discount on annual payment of tarif.
Like if your plan is of 500, than u can pay Rs. 5000 for entire year and save Rs. 1000.

I have few question regarding this.

(1)How do I avail this facility?

    (2) I am using 750UL Combo so I get a monthly bill of Rs. 828(750+78Taxes),
So will I still be getting Monthly bills of Rs.78?

(3)Any Pros & Cons of this service???

it is 10months rent +tax on that (500+tax
    pro-- it is financially economical
con-- you get locked to that plan for the period
no shift etc possible and/or any changes brought in by bsnl won't apply to you until you complete that period, as i learn from some accounts person at BSNL Hyd

you get the supplementary bill for any additional usage
and for the phone bill if it is not inclusive in that plan .

    # Minimum Hire period for all Broadband plans will be one month.

    In case of surrender of Broadband Connection after one month, the charges shall be recovered on pro-rata basis;

    # In case of premature surrender of Broadband Annual plan option, the charges shall be adjusted on pro-rata basis taking the disconnected FMC rate.
In addition one month full FMCshall be levied as early termination charges hence forth.

    # In case a subscriber joins/ leaves in the middle of a month, the fixed monthly charges for unlimited Broadband Plans shall be calculated on proportionate basis i. e. actual number of days of connection working subject to the commitment of minimum period of hire.

Just go to BSNl cust care cntr / BSNL office, meet to PRO and tell that you want to sub for 12 months.

PRO will give you a form - fill it up and attach last month paid receipt of u r telephone bill. After certain remarks by an Officer of BSNL you will be issued computer generated demand note, which pertains the details of your phone and BB connection and the details of the amount which you are going to pay.

This demand note is in duplicate. Go to the cash window and deposit the required cash.
Please note that for the advance payment BSNL accepts CASH only and No cheques please.

After said formalities your full year sub will reflect in your next bill with prorota effect. i.e. say you have paid required amount on 17 th of the month - thus BSNL will calculate BB useges charges in old plan up to 16 th and from 17 th onward any bill will be covered in yly sub. Thus your plan will end on 16th of the year end. Say u have started on 17 th July 2010 then your plan will end 16 th July 2011.

To avoid all these confusion, go to BSNL office after 25 th of any month, discuss the matter and complete formalities of payment and etc by 28 or 29. Thus your new plan will be effective w.e.f. 1st of the next month.

Please note that u have to pay service tax as per rule. Say yly sub cost you 5000 bucks instead of 6000, then you have to pay service tax as per GOI rule on Rs 5000. Say if it is 10.3 % then you have to pay 515 tax plus 5000 principle = 5515 in total.

No refund is possible if sub leaves between the period for which he paid adv sub.

Any clarification in this matter, u may post freely in this thread.

    @pnjani
Thank You. your reply was really very helpful.
I was about to go for yearly payment, but now I sense a wave of changes that BSNL might introduce in near future, in which might be my existing plan get upgraded or I might get a new choice of a plan which suits my need.

What do you say about this?

One year payment is really profitable. But personally, I feel BSNL introduces new plans in less than one year term. So a bit reluctant to go for one year payment as I may be deprived of new plans.

You are right Dilip, thats a reason for not opting this scheme.
But than I realized, I'm using this plan from last One & half year.
In this price range, its best suited to my need.
And BSNL havent introduced any thing which can excite me in my budget, Not even in February 2011, when some considerable anouncement was made by BSNL, it didnt annonced any thing to excite me.

So what do you say, is there going to be any serious Plan annoncement by BSNL in near future or I should go for annual payment?

Actually, if you can afford paying in a single throw, there is no risk involved. They just deduct the actual amount if you change the plan in between. Suppose you use UL 750 and paid Rs. 7,500 and decided to change plan after 10 months, you can very well opt the new plan and they will charge you Rs. 7,500 for 10 months.

So the only bottleneck is that whether you can manage paying a lump some amount and then later let it charged according to actual charges.

paying annually is a great option if you can, saves you the trouble every month
even if you want to change plan or surrender, that can be done by just adjust the amount which the AOTR can do for you

check this. If you change the plan midway, penalty will be applicable.
    # In case of premature surrender of Broadband Annual plan option, the charges shall be adjusted on pro-rata basis taking the disconnected FMC rate.
In addition one month full FMC shall be levied as early termination charges hence forth.

    Para two:
Not out of topic, but similar to fleece customers ; Be it Cellphone/Broadband or Bank accounts.

Most Nationalised Banks, will deduct about Rs 110/= when a Savings Bank.Account is closed.
I lost on an "inactive" account Rs 132/ + Rs 110/= on a balance of Rs 500/=, when I closed the account ( opened for some Home loan purpose, which was not availed )
If the minimum is below Rs 1000/= ( with cheque facility) EVERY month Rs 20/= to Rs 33/= will be deducted.( retrospectively)
No idea what the Bank/s will do if the minimum Balance goes below
    say Rs 20/=!!!

If u R Govt servent, then you will get discount also.

If U R in Rs. 5oo plan then u have to pay 400/- insted of 500/-

20% dis is there for govt and PSU employees.

This happens only at BSNL, and favourable too.
