Thread: Low speed in 1350 combo plan

I live in Gurgaon. I am currently using ul 1350 combo plan. I just recently got the connection. The speed I am getting is 1.6Mbps whereas I should be getting 4 Mbps as per the plan. I don't mind 1.6 even since its good for all practical purposes. I worry though after my 20GB quota is exhausted, I am supposed to receive 512 kbps, would it become very slow if it slow now. BSNL users, any experience on this?

As long as I keep getting 512 kbps or more I am good.

4 mbps = 4000 kbps = 500 kBps

What you should get. You are getting better.

512 kbps = 64 kBps

When FUP is on you will likely get this kind of speed.

kb=kilobits
kB/KB=kilobytes

Your speed is fine if it above 500 kbps

What I am asking is : Will I really get 512 kbps as promised by BSNL after my 20Gb quota is exhausted? What are other user's experience on this?

1. If you are getting 512 + Kbps now, you will get 512 Kbps after FUP.

2. You should get 4 Mbps for your connection. There is a common problem with the 4 Mbps plans. At exchange maximum speed for all connections is set as 2 Mbps. So you need to talk to the SDE of your exchange and ask him to lift the cap. Worked for almost all users who took the issue to SDE. It is your right, it is what you are paying such a good amount. Hope you will get positive results.
