Default Very slow upload speed in all the plans

I was using BBG Home Combo UL 750 plan till March 2011 end. The download speed was ok at 58 to 62 KB/s. But the upload speed (when attaching / uploading) files to any site is going on at only 50 to 55 KB/s even when there is no other process going on (made sure). There is no virus or no specific software that blocks network access.
    .
Now I am using BBG Combo ULD 1000. The upload speed (before reaching the limit) is still the same (50 to 55 KB/s or even going worse). According to the 4th condition from the last as specified in the link http://www.bsnl.co.in/service/New_BB_postpaid.htm , the upload speed should be 768 Kbps (that is 96 KB/s). But none of the BSNL people are responding to my complaint.
    .
    To other users :
What to do?. No use of calling the tollfree 1504. Any suggestion / idea?. I am from Tamilnadu.

    Mention your modem/model/make.

    (a)
    After accessing modem menu
    Check "access Control"
    or
    type in browser .

    (b)
Also check in "DSL" which modes are unchecked?
    (c)

    Test speed here twice.
Upload speed will remain almost constant.

    (d)
try tcp/ip optimizer from speed guide.net.

    Check any improvement.

    Feedback item wise.

Me too on UL 750. I consider you extremely lucky to get 50 + KBps upload speed. I get 40 KBps upload rarely (that too on multiple torrents).

Hope you are not confused with KBps and Kbps.

    512 Kbps = 512/8 = 64 KBps

    1 Byte (B) = 1 bit (b)

For Broadband plans where bandwidth is 1Mbps or more, the uplinking will be maximum upto 768 kbps
I think it is just like maximum speed up to 2 Mbps. You may get it only under ideal conditions.

See, there is no use of downloading optimizers when the incoming speed itself is worst.
