i have a bsnl unlimited plan.
Mention your current plan. What is the promised speed ?
Try a speed test at speedtest.net with 2 different servers and report the speed here.
This may help

my current speeds are around 2mbps.
but, i have been promised speeds upto 4mbps. I'm on the bsnl ulf 900 plan.
If you don't get the speed for the "FUP"limit talk to technical (S.D.E)
broadband section in your Exchange to change the port.
BB Home Combo UL 750 ( no free phone calls no phone rent ))
is a better choice.
512 Kbps 64 KB/sec 3.6MB/min 200MB/Hour in 6 hours 1 GB/per day full month 30 GB approx.
( approx calculations)
With ULF 900: 400 free telephone calls is the attraction.
Assuming you download 8GB FUP in 8 days balance 22 days at 256Kbps speed extra 11 GB only ( on same basis above )
WA3002-G4 QUICK GUIDE=>20 MODEMS 74,000+45,400 hits
*Beetel220BX/450TCI type !****
*AN1020-21 type models ****23,700 hits ** BSNL LINKS**9900******USAGE check ** 54,600
It is a common problem with 4 Mbps plans. There is a cap of 2 Mbps at your exchange. Talk to the SDE and request him to lift the cap. Worked for many other members. Search the forum for similar queries.
Try this
