    Default problem connecting nokia siemens 1600 residential router

    my problem is my dsl light is not stable
    i checked it on another line it gets stable
    my phone line is ok with no disturbance i checked it and listened to noise
    i checked every connection from pole to my home it is ok i have a single line
    i checked 4 modems on my line but no stable dsl on them
    plz rectify my problem

    Check :ALL Phones are connected AFTER the ADSL Splitter.

    1. Check your splitter. If you have a spare, replace it and check.

    2. Make sure that all connections come after the splitter. Follow this diagram



    Bypass splitter, connect the line directly to the modem and check.

    3. Check the line from ADSL port of splitter to modem. Replace it and check.

    yes phones are connected after splitter as u can see my screen shot snr is down but when connected in gdmt mode it works but in adsl 2+ mode it nevers .i also connected the line directly but dsl blinks but in gdmt it works

    You seem to be far away from the Exchange. Say more than 5 Kms.
    Your line's SNR should improve. , 6db barest minimum
    even though Attn appears low and acceptable.
    With GDMT you can expect somewhat a stable connection.

    Try a better quality short Rj11 cable.
    i also connected the line directly....
    Even otherwise it is connected directly from the ADSl splitter.
    Additional circuit only for telephone line. ( to block BB data )

    Is there a another way to increse snr value for my line .and what is rj 11 cable

    see this link. Also check your modem at another location
    Increase SNR: may be with a higher speed plan ??? BSNL changes PORT.
