I think you tried G LITE. appear to be on ADSL2+ now.
Anyway your ATTN d/l should reduce and SNR D/L increase.

Check cable connectors for rusting/blackening/high resistance contacts.

    uncheck box ADSL2+ and ADSL2
    SAVE REboot.
Recheck SNR/ATTN. for reference mine 110BXI similar modem.
    Mode: G.DMT
    Downstream Upstream
    SNR Margin (dB): 31.8 26.0 SNR+5dB
Attenuation (dB): 16.0 9.0 ATTN less 2.5 dB
    Mode: ADSL2+
    Downstream Upstream
    SNR Margin (dB): 26.9 28.1
    Attenuation (dB): 18.5 9.9
    If connection lost, enable ADSL2.

    2. Point 2 > need not understand . same here!
for reference diff mod modes available.

You can connect direct also. For PHONE USE ADSL splitter. .
Hope you know the difference between splitter and ADSL splitter.

And presume you don't have any phone/s connected to ADSL splitter
PHONE port. or direct to BSNL junction.
