Default wireless modem and USB adapter for desktop computer

    Hello All,
I am planning to get BSNL broadband connection for my desktop computer and I want wireless connection. When I asked the BSNL guy he said buy your own modem, since sometimes they will not have modems in stock and things will get delayed. I am a new to this network and related stuffs . I don’t know what I need to purchase and which brand suits my desktop computer.

Could you please suggest me wireless modem and USB adapter along with connection instruction.

    Thanks in advance……..

Take any modem or Modem/WIFI router (preferred) on rent.
    ( Security Deposit Refundable )
Depending on this we may opt for
    (A)a 3-in One Modem+4lanPort+wifi router ( DNA212-I Beetel 450bxi ETC)
( may be available for Rs 1500/ to Rs 2500/= in ebay.in)

    or
    (B) only wifi router . ( Netgear614V9 etc ) cost about Rs 1500/= to Rs 2000/=

Mention your location , to find out computer shops there.
Mention the wifi range ( Radius in your house ) and height .

    SEE signature link/s below.

It is wise to use a BSNL modem. If we buy any 3rd party modems, BSNL will offer no support. You need to configure and troubleshoot it yourself. Apart from that, they blame your modem even for line faults and stay away from their work.

I am using WiFi modem from BSNL for Rs. 80 per month rent. You can even get it replaced if any damage occurs.

Better you buy NIC/EVDO or 3G stick wireless modem from BSNL.
Check coverage is available in you area.
This is better than BB table modem

For a single system suitable. ( laptop)

Member wanted Wireless BB connection for Desktop. Where and how he places his Deskstop computer will affect connectivity.

To use two or more systems say desktop/ laptop in wifi mode/smart phone etc an Adsl BB connection with modem/wifi routers preferred. )
Also depending on Usage tariff plan/s can be changed every month.
and some free telephone calls also.
    ( I have to study/compare the 3G tariff plans )
