Thread: Help on BSNL bill

Hello,

Today, I got my first BSNL bill for 30/3/11-31/3/11 (for one day) .I'm using UL750 Combo Plan. Following are the details

1.) Fixed Monthly Charges - 12 Rs.
2.) Call charges - 6 Rs.
3.) Installation charges - 500
4.) Adv Rental Deposit - 500
5.) Modem Deposit - 500
6.) Security Deposit - 750
7.) Modem Rental charges (50/pm)- 1.61
8.) Internet usage charges (750/pm) - 24.19
9.) Taxes - 56.01 (on deposits as well? :-/)


Other than being charged 'high' deposit for the plan (Rs. 1750), I couldn't understand why I'm being charged Fixed monthly charges of 12 Rs (per day?)?

Please help me understand this.

Probably Bsnl has booked your plan wrongly.
Contact A.O for this month's bill. It can be Rs 180/=P.M Oneindia plan
Fixed Monthly Charges - 12 Rs for two days.

Check in self care portal MY orders.

Para two:
Installation charges forBB waived till 31st March 2011.

Give application for credit in April 2011 bill ,
or now itself if payment not made. .Ask for revised bill.also Rs 12/=

I talked with Customer Care regarding this. And they're giving some reason for charging FMC (which I couldn't understand), but they also said..from next month, it would be switched to Combo plan and I won't be charged FMC.

For promotional offer, they said, it is waiver on BB installation only, and therefore, I'm waived off 250 Rs., but telephone installation charges Rs. 500 are still applicable.

I also tried talking with AO, but as expected he was too busy to talk

my plan is bsnl combo 500. 1.5 GB usage limit and bill from 15th october to 30 october mentioned in the bill
my first month billing it goes like this
NCP inst charges=500=1000.
instalment of modem deposit=166.7.
total usage 1225mb additional usage 383mb charged 61.28
and fixed monthly charges=114.
misc. charges for optional services tax 94.97.
total 1684 bucks - credit 500 for installation
so total bill amounts to 1184.
my questions are
1.why is installtion charge mentined 1000 whereas in the form it was mentioned 250 for installation but why they have charged 1000?
2.MODEM is for rental which is 50 per month then what is 166.7?
3.my usage was 1225 MB then how is the additional usage> as mu have still 275 MB unused in october?
4. what is fixed monthly charges? will i be getting every month?
guys pls sugest what i could do to reduce? there is no security deposit as per my plan no phone rental also..pls let me know as soon as possible..

You should have got a new telephone connection, and rental is also charged initially.
Security deposit for local and STD calls Rs 500/== Rs 250 telephone +Rs 250 BB.rent
Modem (rental)security deposit taken in three installments. Rs 166/70
BB usage on pro rata basis. 1536MB/30 x 16days approx 800 MB free allowed.
and fixed monthly charges=Rs 114./= could be initial telephone plan charges. ( talk to A.O TR)
November 2011 bill will be BB Rs 500/+ Taxes 10.3%
Modem rent Rs 50/=+Taxes
Modem security deposit 166/70 20f 3 instalments ( No Tax )
Phone rent free
Excess call charges.

Any excess amount charged by BSNL is safe as in RBI , and you can get it back( get credit ) after verification. No interest !!!

but why is the installation fee 1000..it was mentioned in the tarriff plan form to be 250..besides that i had paid 500 earlier to the phone instrument
what about fixed monthly charge its fee for combo users??
how much is the modem deposit?? how many months in installment do i need to pay?
when i disconnect what is the refundable deposit do i get?
