i am having ADSL Huawei smartAX MT882 modem with BSNL 500 plan. My lan with 2 PC, One laptop and VOIP device My lan connection as : modem -->> Linksys Wireless access point (4 ethernet port)--->>connected both the pc's and VOIP device with ethernet ports of linksys.---->>laptop on wireless My problem was when i was connecting my 2nd pc which is around 40 mtr. far from my modem/linksys with cat 5 cable ..i was not able to connect ..lan status was showing ...connetion with limited or no connectivity..i thought it might be due to faulty cable ..but i tried it on live lan and found cable is ok. The problem was the lan speed selection i selected 10 mbps/full (it was 100 mbps before/default value) duplex and i got the connection.so the trick was 10 mbps ..what i think is that the ethernet port of my linksys supports only 10 mbps..it need to be confirmed ..i will see it whenever i get some time.. | |
