Default 20% govt. Employee rebate on annual payment

    Hi Everyone
I have this query. I plan to go for BBG COMBO ULD 850 PLAN. Now, I am making an annual payment in advance. The reason for it is this free modem benefit attached with it. It is written clearly as a note below the web page on bsnl that : The modem shall be given FREE if the customer commits for the period as shown and pays the necessary charges in advance. In that case, customer will then own the modem and will not be required to return the modem after the end of the committed period. Fine. Now, since a govt. employee, I would like to gain from 20% rebate offer. I am asked to take that annual payment discount and pay Rs. 8500. But I told them I want 20% govt employee rebate. The bsnl SDO says "You can either go for annual payment rebate or monthly 20% rebate". I told him that fine, I want 20% monthly rebate. That means I shall be charged Rs.(850-170)= Rs. 680 per month. Great. I told that I am ready to commit with you for 12 months on this BBG COMBO ULD 850 plan and ready to pay you necessary charges in advance as written above on note. So, I shall pay them Rs.(680 * 12) = Rs. 8160 against Rs. 8500(annual rebate option). I know I am 100% right in it. But it seems thier software DOTSOFT when selects annual payment option shows automatically Rs. 8500. I dont know where I am wrong. Can you please correct me if I am wrong. Thanx!!

Eligible for 20% discount on Annual discounted plan also.

Ok..Thanx for the reply to this ques as well the one on half price modem. Can you please tell me the steps I need to take sequence wise. I need to go for BBG COMBO ULD 850 plan. Annual payment. Wi-Fi Modem at half price(Rs. 2150/2) = Rs. 1125.
Now, SDO has to give me demand notice. He says, half price is not coming for Wi-Fi modem on DOTSOFTwhen he selects annual payment option. But basic modem is shown free. Now, when I go to cash counter for making a modem purchase, I have no option the to pay full Rs. 2250 for Wi-Fi modem. Come back to SDO. Rs. 1125 extra gone for modem. Now, while making an annual payment, he says either monthly govt rebate or annual payment option. So, I end up paying Rs. 8500 here also against Rs. 6800 told by you. Total loss = Rs. (1700 + 1125) = Rs. 2825. BSNL SDO is not ready to do anything to help me and go beyond his DOTSOFT software. Kindly tell me step wise what I need to do and get benefits. My father is a govt. Employee. The connection is to be taken under his name. I didnot get terms like CC, ACK, copy and some other stuff. Shall be helpful if you just simply explain to me again what all I need to do when I go again to BSNL office. Thanx!! And one thing more, you are quoting price of type-2 modem as Rs. 1800. At present, there are just 2 modem rates at BSNL: One is for Rs. 1150 and other one which I am interested in (Wi-Fi) is for Rs. 2250.
