Default modems for bsnl broadband

hi frn's

i m very much new to this field. so may i know abt the modems tht can de used with bsnl broadband and the rates. is it reasonable to buy the modem or renting

basically there are four types of modems available with BSNL .
they are differentiated by availability of connecting ports .
the details can be seen on dataone tariff page on BSNL site .

pls contact your local exchange to know about available
modem brands and their details . if you can post modem
numbers and their selling prices then we can say whether
it is best to buy from BSNL or buy some other from market .

Now bsnl does not provide huawei modems.... rather u will have to go for

D-link asdl broadband modems (e.g.: d-link GLB 502 t adsl 2+ broadband modem)

Can you mention if the modems for BSNL connection are available in the open market? Or do I have to depend on BSNL each time I consider changing it?

^ the modems supplied by BSNL are not available in open market .
we can purchase any ADSL modem according to our requirements .
