Thread: Connect Nokia E63 to Wifi !

Hey, I'm a newbie to WiFi technology. I have a Nokia E63. My modem is: AR800V V3.0. I'm not able to connect my phone to the WiFi.
I tried Google. But all in vain. After connecting to WiFi. It is showing 'No Gateway Reply'
Can anybody help me? Please help me if there's any problem in my WiFi configuration.

Connect only in Alwayson" PPPoE mode.
UserId/PW stored in WAN page of Modem
( Uncheck box "Bridging" if selected )

Enable DHCP ( In LAN menu page)
give Range say 192.168.1.3 to 192.168.1.9
Enable UpnP box also if seen.
Try without any security code.
Then try wep wpa etc.

The real problem is when I switch to PPPoE (PP over Ethernet), I am not able to connect through internet. When dialing, it stucks on Connecting to..... and it says remote computer did not respond. But when I use 'Bridging', I can easily connect to internet.
PS: In PP over Ethernet: Cannot Connect. Bridging: Connect

You should not use the dialer.


Mention OS Used : Windows 7 / vista/ xp etc.
You have not entered your UserID/PW correctly in WAN page.
try without @bsnl.in. hope you selected link 0 and 35.

I use Windows XP SP3.
Intel Core 2 Duo CPU E7400 @2.80GHz
2 GB RAM

While in PPPoE, no need to use a dialer. Simply switch ON the modem and you will be automatically connected (will take around 30 seconds to connect).

Use this guide and make sure that your PPPoE settings are correct

I just changed security option to - WiFi Protected Access 2 and the problem was solved

Connect in PPPoE mode ( uncheck "bridged" in wan page )
Enter/store userid/pw in wan page.
In lan menu enable DHCP give range 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.10
channel 6 or 11
Try without security key. disable MAC filter.
