Thread: BSNL Bill Clarification - Pls help me!!!!

Dear Friends,

I am using BSNL broadband for past 3 months and i have availed 900 rs plan (4MBPS upto 8GB and 256 Kbps)

Each month i am getting the Bill details as below..

Misc Charges 300.00
Broadband Charges 900.00
Service Tax : 92.70
Gross Amount 1293.00
Credit Adjustments 12.00


My doubt is .. What is Misc Charge ? they have added Rs 300 .

For 900 Rs Plan i should pay 900 + Tax so total 1000. But every time i am paying Rs 1281 ..

Can anybody please clarify whether BSNL cheating the Bill or its a normal one. PLease help me to clarifiy my doubt pls...!

contact ur nearest BSNL account officer ( AOTR )....... tell him to clarify ur bill

Misc Charges 300.00 this billed amount will cease after 3 instalments are deducted.
Service Tax on Rs 900/= is 10% which works out to Rs 90/= surcharge on this ( for educating the poor in India Etc ) .3% works out to Rs 2.70/=
You might have purchased the Modem and not renting it. No modem charges seen.

A credit of Rs 12/=is shown.( 1% of Bill) Are you paying by ECS or online ?
Bill is in order.
BSNL is a Govt Corporation and questing of cheating does not arise.
Bill are computerised, and any error or overcharging, , if you approach A.O(TR) the excess amount if charged , if any.will be credited in future bills.
( a"cheating" of paise 30 is called "rounding off" the total to nearest Rupee!!)which is normal practice.
