Thread: Broadband/LL usage

Hi friends !!!
Today I got my customer ID and registered at the BSNL portal. What I see there is something I didnt expect. I had applied for the LL/BB on 22 march and opted for BBG-FN-HOME-500-COMBO and got the Telephone line laid on 25 April and line was activated 0n 27 april and BB started on 30 April. But as per the bill they are charging me for the telephone even when it was not started. They are even charging the BB usage for 29 april also, whereas I got ID and password only on 30 April.

Also, the usage detail on the site is only till 12 may (today is 18). Moreover the DL data is shown less whereas UL data is huge.
What to do???

Try talking to the accounts officer for unfair entries in the bill. Call customer care and ask for his no. Normally they give it without any questions.

When it comes to usage details, BSNL portal lags a lot while updating. Most of us use a bandwidth meter to keep and eye on our usage. Use one from Networx or Shaplus.

Well there is not 1 or 2 discrepancies in the bill. Even the DL and Up data is wrong. They are charging even for a modem which I never took. Also, since I registered my conxn before 31 March, i am entitled for unlimited data usage for 15 days. Still they have charged for those data. In fact the UL data for 11 days is shown as around 50 GB which is impossible given the max UP speed I get is of 30 KBps.

Better visit him in person and explain yourselves. Take print out of necessary documents like link for 15 days unlimited offer.

I need help to understand it.

Wait for Password from BSNL by email.
Then LOG in
If Menu opens see left side .
select Broadband/telephone details
cannot order Alu Parotta !!!

Well I dont like Alu Parotta...What I am interested to know is that the usage summary shown under My Services>View BB Usage>....
The summary is of a latest date or or an earlier date...????
Also there My DL data is shown less(very less) then the UL data..

Your D/L is U/L for BSNL ! ( confusion is selfcare portals !)
Anyway Summary at top is what is of interest.

for the month of MAY.
Unbilled amount shows Rs 12000/= and above ! you will get deduction from 6th may 2011 of NU.

You are also downloading heavily durring day hours.
more than 700 MB on 6th May within 2 hours. ( chargeable)

(1)From May 1st to May 5th all downloads H24 entered in chargeable page.
calculate yourself the NU 1st may to 5th May2011.

(2) NU recording starts separately only from 6th May 2011.

Sorry for the late update. Actually I was waiting for the outcome of my case is telephone adalat that took place on 19 and 20 may. There I presented my case and thankfully so many things have been sorted out. I am listing those issue here.
1. Reprieve of Rs 1100.00 for modem charges, since I didnt take it from BSNL.
2. Reprieve of Rs. 250.00 for installation charges, since own modem.
3. Benefit of the 15 days UL DL/surfing @2Mbps as registration date of BB was 22 March.

It took a lot of explanation and proofs to convince the BSNL guys.
Still there are few more small glitches in the bill for which I need to see the A/C officer.
Can anybody tell me how to post a jpeg fill here so that I can put my Bill.

checked your April Bill for 2 days from selfcare portal.

You appear to have got some charges deleted.

Till 13th May 2011 Total usage all to be waived (most likely.)
( what appeared in your portal when I checked )

For May 2011 you can get it only after June 1st.

1.As it can be seen on pg1 marked with red the TAX amount. How did they come to this amount of Rs.85.57.

2. On pg2 it can be seen that my LL rental is taken for the period of 25-29 April
On the same pg2 the discounts given on calls as per the plan for the same duration on of 25-29April

3. My BB started on 30 April. Still they have charged BB rental for 29 April as can seen on pg3. That is they have charged 29 April twice, once LL and again for BB, whereas only LL rentals should be charged for that day. What more they are charging 2 day rental for BB and giving me discounts on call for 1 day as seen on pg2 marked with green.

Are these guys out of mind. When we point out these mistakes, instead of accepting them they blame it on the system.

1. As per my understanding the actual LL rent for 25-29April should be Rs.30.00. And charged is Rs.30.00(So that is correct) Telephone Calls charged and discount given correctly.

2. Actual BB rent for 30 April(activation day) should be Rs.20.80.(625UL-home-combo). They have charged Rs.41.67.
Actually the one day extra rent for BB is not of much importance but the connection date is important as that would affect my 15 day UL DL/surfing benefit.

3. They have charged BB rent as well as LL rent for 29 April. Whereas once the BB combo plan is effective LL rent should not be charged.

4. Other advance and rents are okay. Tax amount would automatically decrease once BB installation charged is waived off.

Was trying to get the scrnshot of 13 May but portal not opening now.

Will post that later.

BB USAGE:
downloaded earlier ,your usage.
Check details for 29thApril/30th April and 1st May 2011. ( screen shot may be taken ) ALL FREE anyway.
May 2nd to May 13th or May 14th is the only point now.

Check Day usage for 14th May for possible free allowance.

Telephone rent :
I think Initially, if a new connection is given Under ONE India Plan
and for first installation only Pro rata charges are calculated. facility given.
Usually telephone rent is charged on Monthly rental basis.

Bill for May 2011 will settle most differences.
