Default Is this happening due to underground fitting?

    Hey

Just got BSNL broadband installed yesterday. The person who came to set up already told me that I should get rid of underground fitting and get the wires inserted to modem directly. I kind of put his suggestion on hold for a while. Now, after using net for like some hours, I have started facing problem. The DSL indicator on modem starts blinking frequently (which should be stable as per told by bsnl person) and then internet indicator along DSL indicator on modem disappears. Then after like a minute, DSL indicator again becomes still and internet indicator starts resulting back in internet access. What should I do...Shall I get my wires reinstalled or there may be some other reason for such a behaviour(Internet doesnot get dosconnected but it goes to no internet access). Any insights??

I found out asked values to be as under:
    SNR (Downstream) 30.55 dB
    SNR (Upstream) 6.5 dB
    Line Attentuation(Downstream) 35.5 dB
    Line Attentuation(Upstream) 16.5 dB

and modem is type-2 Wi-Fi modem made by Teracom limited.
Model written on its box is : T2-B-Gawv1.4U10Y-BI

I hope I gave you all the details you required.

Looks OK!!! Though attenuation is a bit high,

You said no disconnections just a pause in internet traffic.

yea..no disconnections as such but internet access changing to no internet access(with network remaining connected).

I just checked the values again. There is a large from previous values now. The values recorded now are: SNR (Downstream) 8.35 dB
    SNR (Upstream) 3.5 dB
    Line Attentuation(Downstream) 30.0 dB
    Line Attentuation(Upstream) 14.5 dB..:O

Check if the speed drop happens any further.

Even this happens to me. Internet doesn't respond and after sometime it does.

It is highly unlikely that this has anything to do with underground fittings.
