Buy an USB WiFi adapter for your desktop (costs Rs. 900 on ebay) and install " Connectify " in your PC. It will act as a WiFi hotspot. Please note, you need Windows Home Premium or on your PC/Laptop to use Connectify in it.

Yes. Guide by @Just4Kix explains that.

    Change GLB802C to " bridged " Mode.
( if facility is available BACKUP present PPPoE settings )
2.IN WRT120N look for a page like this. Say YES. enter userid/pw etc.
Other pages settings may remain same.

    feedback.

When using a BSNL modem + Wireless router, any one can be in bridge mode and the other in PPPoE mode. Both can be in bridge mode also. But both cannot be in PPPoE mode. Choose whatever suits you.

I have BSNL modem in PPPoE and Linksys wireless router in bridge mode. Read the guides for some explanations.

Also, one full stop is enough.

    okay, got it

my router is available @ 192.168.1

but somehow i still cant get it work with bridge mode.....the whole reason for switching to bridge mode is to get proper speed from utorrent.....which used to work fine earlier.....when i just had the d-link modem...and kept it under the said mode.....

    @just4kix

i just configure the modem....then i connect it through my router....and let the C.D supplied by the manufacturer of my router (Linksys) do the configuring of my router.....as i dont have the slightest clue as how to configure my router....i mean the network-et-all......

i configured my modem in bridge mode last night.....and then connected it through the router.....again the same thing....i can access the web from my desktop....but when i tried connecting my ipod....there was an error message...."no reply from web gateway"......

here's a screenshot of my modem and router page....just in case you find something wrong with it.....

although i have no experince with a modem+wifi router setup but it seems like something is not correct with your setup.according to your screenshots you have disabled dhcp in modem & gave 192.168.0.50 address to your router but in your router setup its local address is set as 192.168.0.1 which in my opinion should be 192.168.0.50.also in your router setting dhcp server is enabled with ip starting from 192.168.0.100 so any wifi device must get ip within this range only for internet to work.anyway wait for @just4kix & @essbebe reply regarding my post.

For torrenting the best suggestion that I will offer is as follows:

    1. Your D-Link Modem: Configure this in PPPoE mode. Let the local LAN IP address be 192.168.1.1. You must enable DMZ in the WAN section. This will open all ports.

    2. Your Linksys router: Forget the CD. The CD is meant for "American idiots" and configures the router for use with US ISPs.

Configure it manually. Use the guide that I have written for WRT54G. The interface will be very similar with minor differences. The LAN IP address must on different subnet. If you do not know what a subnet is, in layman's terms it is the first three numbers in an IP address, e.g., 192.168.1.1. So if the D-Link IP address is 192.168.1.1, the Linksys router must be anything other than 192.168.1.nnn. For example, it can be 192.168.2.1.

Only then it will work. The Linksys Router must be configured in automatic DHCP mode aka bridge mode.

Please refer the guides (All my useful articles and guides) that I have written.
