Default Higher packet loss than normal ?

Getting unusually high packet loss occasionally throughout the day/night and sudden spikes in latencies between 12 noon and 3pm for the 3-4 days.

    Anyone else ?

Usually BSNL has 1-2 packets lost every 5 minutes or so (everyone gets this, I'm pretty sure). But right now every minute there's like 10-15 or more packets lost.

Again this doesn't happen all the time and there are periods with no packet loss.

    Code:

that's what a typical ping is looking like for me at the moment when the packet loss starts happening (this ping is to LA,USA).

    my telephone line sounds fine.
I use an airtel connection with the same modem and it doesn't experience this kind of loss.
