Thread: Just see my Bsnl BB Usage [ so much uploads ] !!

I had a BB Plan of 850 UL(8gb til 1mbps then 256kbps) ...
It was activated on 7th May.
I didn't knew that it was 1mbps only till 8gb,so it got finished in 3day

Then i came to know about it so i decided to change my plan to 600 Combo with night unlimited.

I filed an application on 26th may that i want to change my plan to 600 Combo.
The person told that the plan will be activated on 1st June.

One day before i went to change my plan :
1) I was getting 1 MBps again
I guess the data was reset so i completed my 8GB within 2-3 days because the combo plan will be activated from 1st June.

2) Then Back to 256kbps
I completed my 8GB Very fast on 30th May. After that my internet got disconnected for few minutes then i was back to 256kbps.

3) On 31st Night at 8pm i was getting speeds of 220-230 kbps.
So The Combo plan has been activated on that time. Actually it was very lucky of me to check download speeds. So i immediately stopped my downloads.

4) After that i created a bsnl self care account and i received the password the next day.
I then logon to website at Selfcare bsnl portal.

It showed that my BB Plan was 600 Combo
and it showed that i had monthly free 2.5 GB usage in total.

But the shocking thing was that
1) It showed that i had download 1.6 GB(Which i hadn't)
Maximum i had downloaded 150 Mb(That too through web browsing).
No external downloads/torrents

2) It showed my upload 17 GB

So total chargeable units : 16.9 GB

It didn't show me any extended usage details.

I was stunned to see these stats. But it also showed total duration to be about 241 hours:12 mins which meant it was showing the total usage uptil now.

Then i logon today to see that all the totals have disappeared and it showed me The Detailed Usage

I exported it to excel and Here's the link to it(Delete Spaces and Case Sensitive ) :

well what else can we say??? sad...

happens with many guys who do changing in plan.. bsnl system doesnt update itself. so things like this happen..

nothing else like talking to the Finance officer will do.. but first make an arrangement for an appointment to your local lineman... maybe that works...

or ..

it may be a usuall fault by bsnl's portal..so dont waste time.. ask your local lineman..

Well but did you see my usage before also like on 25th May
250MB upload and 6mb download ... ??

btw, are you on some sharing like wifi or router??
maybe some one eating up from your bandwith...someone in your building.. but nothing will be helpful if you believe...

close all wifi connections...have necessary wep encryptions on your networks.. learn from here in this forum.. hundreds of security tutorials.. . and talk to lineman to discourage the over-bill scenario...

Yeah my wifi router is secure !!
I Know it can be cracked but i have restricted my Router my MAC address and only i can use it :P
So that shall not be the case.
Has anybody else been facing this issue here ??

here many body faced.. looks like a portal error.. but i will tell you not to wait..
go to exchange tommorow.. or they will handle a pretty some bill which you wont like to carry all the way to home...

Your download on May 31st will be under 600 combo plan and free quota 2.5(2560MB/30 or 31 = 85 MB for day usage.
Rest will be charged.
