Remember seeing a similar query a few months back. If I remember correctly, it went fine OK automatically or some firewall/antivirus issue. Not sure, try a search. May be it will land you on that thread.
Which mode are you using ? Toggle between Bridge and PPPoE and check.
Check modem settings. Try GDMT, change MTU values and check.
I'm using bridge mode...
Tried all that already...
I found a thread but that was from last year...And no solution was given...
This is like a auto immune disease.

Try GDMT, change MTU values and check. by @ meetdilip. TRIED.
FireFTP - The Free FTP Client for Mozilla Firefox Installed. Not tried may be. No report on FTP d/l.

(A) speed d/l can improve.
try tcp/ip optimiser from speed guide.net.
(B) confirm menu pages of your mode are similar.

(D) Check in Management "Acccess control" .
If menu item available.whether HTTP/FTP in WAN
side selected.

Right now the connection is all right.
1. Downloaded antivirus update through ftp. Full speed.(as of now)
2.
3.Not similar.
4.All checked in Access control side.
5.No ports are open all are in stealth mode.
Ok.usual feedback. seems all fine now.
