Thread: multi laptop use at one time in teracom bsnl modem

my name is rehan.

i am using your BSNL ADSL 2 + cpe modem .

my modem's model number is T1-B-DSL699E9.4U6-5.

FEATURE TYPE -- 4 ETHERNET + 1 USB

my problem is that i want to use 2 laptops at one time but i am not able to use it. so i need your help for that.

kindly sort my problem out.

You need to be on PPPoE (Always ON) mode.
( enter/store USERID/PW in WAN page of modem/router)
In this you can connect without a dialer. Simply switching ON the modem will establish the connection to internet.

Enable DHCP in your modem. ( LAN page : give a range 192.168.1.3 to say 192.168.1.10)

Properties
Select
TCP/IP
properties
set " Obtain IP address automatically ".
Apply Save.

Your's seems to be a non WiFi modem. If you use it you can connect two laptops using ethernet only. Get a WiFi modem plus router from BSNL. Comes at Rs. 1,800 for outright purchase or Rs. 80 per month rent.
