Thread: Upload speed UL 750 plan ?

Well i am a broadband user for like 2-3 years never had any problems..But recently i found that i was getting an upload speed of 27KB/sec which is considered okay as per this plan.

But my friend who lives 2 km away from my house using the same plan gets 40-50 KB/sec as upload speed.This creates a lot of doubt.

I am using a very old modem as my connection is very old Huawei SmartAX MT882.My speed was updated when th new scheme for 750 plan came from 256 to 512 Kbps.Only download speed was updated and why not the upload speed ?

How do you measure your upload speed ? If there are enough peers, you will get the speed you mentioned.

Go to speedtest.net, perform two speed tests (with different servers) and post the result here.

I use to get around 50 KBps on multiple torrents (me too have UL 750). Has seen 50 KBps + on private tracker.

If nothing works, try talking to the SDE of your exchange. Call customer care and ask for his no. .

I mention my upload speeds on the basis of the uploading to file sharing sites...I have done ping test and the result match...

Is it that my friend got the connection 6 months ago and i had for 2-3 years or is there any issues of modem...
