Thread: Help config for asus rt-ni6

Could plz help out with config for this modem cum router

For BSNL, only ISP specific details are

1. VPI/VCI is 0/35 and

2. Enter username and password as provided by BSNL

asus rt-ni6
confirm correct model number.
1.
Does not appear to be ADSL modem +wifi router.

Confirm the ADSL Modem you use to connect now,
and the mode of connection.
Dialer Mode ( userid/PW entered in computer window )
or
PPPoE mode ( Userid/PW stored in WAN page of modem )
System connects to Internet automatically.
3.
Change to PPPoE mode.
Run the wizard of ASU WIFI router.
Procedure.
Disconnect Rj45 from modem end and connect to Asu wifi router WAN port. Connect another RJ45 from LAN1 to computer.
Ip address may be 192.168.0.1 admin admin or try 192.168.1.1
( need to change this later as modem will have 192.168.1.1 as Ip address )
Try the settings. ( confirm installation cd or manual available )

You can use WA3002_g4 separately to connect 4 systems in lan mode and any number in wifi mode within range.

check my signature link wa 3002-g4 quick reference.

May not be possible to link ( without Rj45 cable ) to Asus Rn-16 (wifi)router
Set Waa3002_g4 in PPPoE mode
( as shown in links )
Enable DHCP ( in lan page )

Connect one rj45 cable from LAn1 of wa 3002-g4 to WAN port of asu wifi router.
Use the wizard if available.
