For Broadband plans where bandwidth is 1Mbps or more, the uplinking will be maximum upto 768 kbps

BBG FN Combo 600( Upload in the nights NU period )

Mention your current plan. I use UL 750, getting an upload speed of 50 + KBps. As mentioned above, the maximum upload speed from BSNL is 768 Kbps irrespective of which plan you choose.

May be it is different for commercial connections. Check with someone knowledgeable at your exchange.

Also check with your friends using different ISPs. The upload speed is generally capped to a low speed in India.

I think I already suggested you to check with SDE on this issue. There is nothing we can do outside BSNL set up. It is for the technical people who need to take the decision and remove caps if any on your connection.

Me too earlier didn't get 50 + upload speed. Earlier I used to get 50 KBps on multiple torrents. Then I joined a private tracker where there are enough no. of peers and I started getting 50 + KBps on a single torrent. Never tried uploading to YouTube or other file hosting site.

I understand how stressful it is to talk to BSNL and get things done.

Try talking to the Sub Divisional Engineer (SDE) of your SSA. Talk to him and seek assistance. You can also call customer care and ask for his no. Normally they give his office no. without hesitation.

    Try this link

    http://mis.bsnl.co.in/pgs/internet/pgwebregn.asp

If nothing works, write a complaint with acknowledgement to Nodal Officer and / or Appellate authority. ID, phone no and address on the backside of your bill. Call them and seek assistance. Once you give a written complaint, they are obliged to give a written reply (positive or negative) which can be used if you are interested to take the matter further.

i believe that these specified speeds are from the server to user only and not across the world,
ADSL, perhaps one cant get speeds more than 1/4th of the download speed.
as it all depends on dynamic traffic conditions for a given ratio.

I get it all...But what i am saying my local server is giving a different speed to some guy and different speed to me...If the speeds have been equal for all then there wouldn't have been any question...But its not the case and bsnl guys are terrible...They won't even listen to my problem..

If you have tried everything better to switch ISP !!!!

Post from your modem STATISTICS ADSL data showing Mod mode selected SNR ATTN Synch speed Rate ( these will do). Mention modem/model/make/number.
    Post as atttachment .

    did you try adsl2 +?
( Bitswap only for a stable connection ) select DNS.

Also select DNS: automatically usually Bsnl's.

Are you on Dialer Mode ( "bridging ) or PPPoE mode ?

well, if you are uploader, i guess you might have heard of Rapidleech.
