Question Best way to download from 2am - 8am

I have a broadband BBG FN Combo 600 plan and I am a heavy downloader, I download approximate 60 GB per month. But to download I have to woke up at 2 am and start the download and the again to stop the download, I have to woke up at 8am. Is there any best way to download from 2am - 8am without hampering the sleep? :P
I know many users here download at night so I just request you to share your methods.

You can automate the whole process. Check this

    http://www.indiabroadband.net/broadb...oad-night.html (Automate Download at Night)

Imran's is a bit complicated, try this scheduler

    Auto-connect Download scheduler PC-Gyaan

I also tried various methods but i am not able to download automatically at night...On software's like PC-Gyann,broadband scheduler my modem is not rebooting automatically. So, if i want to download i have to woke up at night..

Try bridge mode and use the batch file method.

Which mode are you using ? PPPoE or bridge ? If in PPPoE, even if you disable LAN, connection will be active.

Keep your connection in PPoE mode so that you can use the dialer and automate it.

Any free download manager will let you setup application/executable start/stop. Most of them will allow your modem to connect to BSNL too.

I use Free download manager for this (just google the exact words "free download manager", and it ends with a .org)

To actually kill torrents or other downloaders you can:

    1) Use their own scheduler plugins
    2) Use windows task scheduler to start batch scripts that kill the relevant processes [make a text file with the line "taskkill /F /IM uTorrent.exe", for say, killing utorrent : save it as kill_utorrent.bat; add this batch file to windows task scheduler]

To disconnect the internet at 7:55am, just use the above download manager or create a batch script to do this too (rasdial is the command for it).
