Thread: Startup Wizrad Stuck

I recently changed my old BSNL modem with a new UT300R2U Type-1. I put in the installation CD, but during installation it is stuck at "Detecting and Verifying Modem" and not moving forward.

I am still able to use the net but the speed is reduced. The LAN icon has a warning dislay saying "Limited or No Connectivity - You might not be able access the internet or some resources. This problem arose because the network did not assign a network address to the computer."

I have a 500 Kbps unlimited plan

What is the problem ?

You do not need a CD to use UT300R2U. Simply configure in PPPoE or Bridge mode and use it. Presume you are trying to connect through USB port, better switch to ethernet.

My PPPoE was already configured. The Modem CD messed up my LAN settings. Anyway used your guide to fix the settings. Speed is back to normal. Thanks.
