Since Yesterday When Ever I Switch ON My Huawei SmartAX MT 880 Modem it Starts Blinking Very Fast and Using All My Bandwidth.

No Application is Running, No Updates are ON. No Website is Open, No Updates for Avast Free Anti Virus is Running, Checked the Task Manager and Found No Application is Running and at Task Manager Under Process Tab at Last Line System Idle Process Under CPU Column is 99. No Window UP Dates are ON. Even Though My Modem is Blinking Very Very Fast and Consumes 100 MB in One Hour.

After Opening this Site I switched Off Modem and Writing this Post in Off Line Mode and After Completing this Post I will Switch ON Modem and Put this Post On Net.

    Now My Quarry is
    - How to Know What is Downloading ?
    - The Downloaded Data Where My Machine is Storing.
    - How to Stop Such Downloading.
    - How to Pause and See Which Software is Doing These.
    - Please Suggest the Remade.

I have so Many Work are Pending and All are Net Based, So Due to This Problem and as Per My Plan I am doing All my Work Between 0600 AM to 0800 AM as My Plan Offer 02 Am to 08 AM Free Hours.

Please do the needful and suggest the sure remade.

    Thanks and Regards.

Presume you are not using any firewall. Use one from Zonealarm

Best Free Firewall Software for Download: Personal Firewall by ZoneAlarm

It will ask your permission when each program is trying to connect to internet. " Allow " only those you trust.

How do you know there is an usage of 100 MB per hour ? Do you have WiFi ? Secured it ?

If possible, use a friend's modem at you place and check. Frequent blinking may be due to faulty modem.

Disable automatic updates. and including that from antivirus, you can do them manually, if needed. many software indicate update needed
like java, acrobat, what not. please stop all those unwanted downloads. It must then be ok

I have a firewall which is default installed while installing windows.

I came to know 100 Mb/Hr by networx meter as suggested by you (meetdilip) long back and since then i am using the same.

As per mvs sarma, no updates are on as mentioned also and if at all ant updates like java or acrobat or anti virus is running then it shows it's activity at system trey as an icon (near clock) but nothing is there near clock.

Networx is free for ever and worth for installed. As told by essbebe it is a trial version. On the contrary they will be happy if we use networx.

Thanks for all the response, but till date no solution is received.

I will try Zone alarm as suggested by meetdilip.

Thanks to all for sharing your time to find out the solution of my problem.

Is there any other software for this purpose other then zone alarm, because i had not a good experience with zone alarm in past years.

Your post is lacking in essentials.
I had posted screenshot showing activity monitor by NetworX.
Shows you have not utilised this function of the NetworX

If you don't know from where this Download is taking place
    no solution possible.
    Now My Query is
    - How to Know What is Downloading ?
    - The Downloaded Data Where My Machine is Storing.
    - How to Stop Such Downloading.
    - How to Pause and See Which Software is Doing These.
    - Please Suggest the Remedy
Switch on System/modem and browser. No surfing
Disable Download Manager if any. (FDM IDM etc )
    Step 1:
With Network Stop meter ON. for 2 minutes.
Go to SAFE Mode without Internet connection.
    Step 2 :
    Safe mode with internet connection.
Networx stop meter on for 2 minutes
    Step 3:
    NetworX on for 2 minutes.
    System normal mode.

Test early morning 0700AM or at convenient time to you.
Post all screen shots. ( JPG) as attachment.

    Step 4:
Check in Task Manager applications running.

    This may help

Ashampoo FireWall Free - Free software downloads and software reviews - CNET Downloads

    Try this

TCPEye - Free software downloads and software reviews - CNET Downloads

Shows which all programs are accessing net with detailed information. Quite userful, free too.
