Thread: BSNL modem constantly diconnecting!!!

I have the night unlimited plan.So i download through torrent networks.I use a Broadband Scheduler for 4HappyGeeks.I use Vista SP2 32bit.I also have K9 web protection and Trend Micro Titanium Maximum Security 2011.I have successfully using this combo for many months.Recently I have been facing major problems.The modem I use is Nokia Siemens C2110.The yellow light on the modem after some time of being connected blinks too much and frequently and gets disconnected.

What should I do?

Change mode mode to GDMT.
mention dns used .

1. Post your SNR and Attenuation values.

2. Make sure all connections come after splitter. Follow this diagram



Bypass the splitter, connect the line directly to the modem and check.

3. Check if splitter or ethernet cable is faulty. Use a spare one and check.

4. If possible get a friend's modem and check. That will confirm if modem is faulty or not.

5. Do you get power reset ? If yes, check modem's power adpater and make sure it is functioning well.

6. Try GDMT mode in modem and check.

I cant understand the diagram and I am scared to do any modifications.So i didnt do it.

I have added all the attachments as "essbebe" said.During this process,the light never blinked once.

Is a firmware upgrade required?
I found the firmware of my Nokia Siemens Networks C2110 is v55.1.04.01.
I found two upgrades.One is a upgrade from the calcuttatelephones.com site which the v55.1.04.02.(But they say no upgrade is required for the Nokia Siemens Networks one,although the firmware is v55.1.04.01).
Another is v55.1.04.10 which I found on another forum and downloaded from rapidshare.

Please help me asap.

Confirm whether problem ONLY when using torrents.
specify time taken ( seconds/minutes/hours ) for fault to appear.
or check the power adapter. What are the ratings? Getting too hot?
