Thread: Authentication Failure

Guys!plz Help Me out Strange Problem With My 1350 ULD Connection.Unable To Access The Internet.Its Displaying Authentication Failure.?????What Does That Mean

Your userid and or passsword not accepted.
( usually in dialer mode )
Try PPPoE mode Always on and enteruserid/pw both in wan page.

Give modem details for connection failure.
Check in Diagnostics page. failed component.
or in connection status for details.

error 691, i think its a server side problem , about 1 week ago i was also facing this same problem , for a whole day it keep saying " error 691 : username or password was invalid on the domain" so i made a complain here : http://mis.bsnl.co.in/pgs/internet/pgwebregn.asp and on the next day it got connected automatically with my old password
after sometime a bsnl guy called me & said that problem has been solved now as their was a server problem in Bangalore , so the authentication was failing

ya it was server side problem....sorted out today itself.
