Thread: I am shocked.

I am having bsnl bb homecombo plan which gives me speed of 1.8 to 2 mbps that meaNS 200 to 230 kbps of download speed....I was using this connection of mine on my four years old PC via usb cable as there is no ithernet card on my motherboard and everywhere youtube,rapidshare,megavideo getting the speed of 40 to 45 kbps and full speed i.e 220 kbps from microsoft only.yesterday i connected this connection via wifi and ithernet on my new laptop and now every site even rapidshare is giving me speed between 220 and 230 (if there is single download) youtube vids r playing smoothly even i can play 2 vids smoothly simultaneously on youtube. 20 mb file taking 2 min to download....how it is happening... please reply

u will always get more speed when using Ethernet as a medium

You could have installed an ethernet card in a spare slot in your DESKTOP PC!
( or even in new Desktop if you buy one now or upgrade Motherboard if possible. for faster CPU )
or even now install a wireless Lan card.

USB port data transfer 11Mbps ( Latest: improved vastly )
compared to 100Mbps vis ethernet card
and usually 54 Mbps (old wifi routers)

Check your speed here (twice for each ) Desktop and laptop.
