Thread: Firmware Update & Port Forwarding for UT-300R2

hi everyone .. i've just changed my ISP from Reliance broadband to BSNL Dataone, im having the modem supplied by Reliance i.e. UTstar UT-300R2 .. and im having same modem for my dataone connection .. i want to forward ports n also upgrade the firmware version for this .. any help regarding this :thumbsup:

Firmware upgrade should be available for the company website.

Here is the procedure to get firmware,

Can anyone using UT300R2 modem upload the firmware. You can login to
192 . 168 . 1 . 1
user: admin
pass: utstar or password
Goto Admin > Local Image Upgrade
and dump your firmware to file and send it to me on
someshwar.koshti @ gmail

UTSTAR or Huawei do not provide FW update/s in their web sites.( also in their forums) Advises us ,to contact ISP.

if this menu item, available in your unit
please add as annexure the screen shot.

Not available in my modem .
ONLY present settings are usually saved.



1.After accessing/opening modem
type
192.168.1.1/look.html
Post screen shot here.

2.To access NAT/Virtual servers/Port triggering/DMZ
options
try 192.168.1.1/main.html in "Always On " mode.

See ADVANCED menu. If this option not available , THEN ONLY try for AT YOUR OWN RISK FW upgrade.

3. For port forwarding in this modem.

4. UPDATE 0913AM
