Thread: "BBG Speed Combo 2799" Reviews?

I have recently changed my BSNL Broadband plan from 512KBPS (kilo bit per second) Unlimited "BB Home UL 750" to 8MBPS (mega bit per second) 60GB Limit "BBG Speed Combo 2799".

It is supposed to give speed of around 1MB (mega byte) per second.

But, currently I am getting around 100 - 200 KB (kilo byte) per second. And, many times below 30 KB (kilo byte) per second. However, one day I did received speed of around 700 - 800 KB (kilo byte) per second. But, never after that.

Do anyone of you guys use this plan or any plan greater than 8MBPS (mega bit per second) speed? If so, can you please share your download/upload speed.

Speed depends on your exchange, if your exchange has a cap of 2 or 4MBPs you wont get 8MBps speeds, please call your exchange and tell them to increase your speed or remove the cap, if there is any. And yes you should get about 800K-1MBps download speeds in this plan

True. It may be due to cap at exchange. Talk to the SDE and check.

I have made the complain online, thank you for the link.

However, once I got speed of more than 700 KBPS, so I think cap has nothing to do it. Isn't it?

go to modem setting and see the modem sync rate ,
is it 1024/8224
see the snr ratio and attenuation ratio

considering you are within 1.4 KM range , max speed you will get will be maxed at 900KBPS .

let us know what's your modem sync rate and attenuation rate.
